Participatory Budgeting in Oulu in 2025
This year, the citizens may present ideas and vote on them to determine how the city will spend 240 000 € to improve comfort and community in Oulu.
Forest path in Hietasaari
The money will be used to renew the pre-existing paths in Hietasaari to be easily accessible. Lay-bys and relaxation areas would be built along the path. The length of the path will be approximately two kilometers and there would be about ten stops along the path. The implementation include a footpath and a platform on the beach.
Lenght of the planned path is about two kilometers and it would include about 10 rest areas. The implementation will also include duckboards and a platfrom at the beach.
- Planning is underway and the area has been surveyed.
- Construction of the path is underway in Hietasaari. The path will be cleared and wood chips are spread as surfacing. Crushed stone will be used to at parts of the path to ensure accessible passage for wheelchair users.
